What is PE

July 7th , 2016

PE material refers to polyethylene, which is a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing ethylene. A typical thermoplastic is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic flammable white powder.

Good chemical stability, it only contains two elements of hydrocarbon, hygienic and non-toxic. It has excellent low temperature resistance (minimum operating temperature can reach -100~-70°C), and can resist the erosion of most acids and alkalis. It is insoluble in common solvents at room temperature, with low water absorption and excellent electrical insulation.

High pressure polyethylene is mostly used for film products, followed by pipes, injection molded products, wire wrapping layers, etc. Medium and low-pressure polyethylene is often used for injection molded products and hollow products.

It is a safe and durable environmentally friendly material.
